Mark Lajal’s Remarkable Rise in ATP Ranking

Mark Lajal, Estonia’s prominent male tennis player, has ascended ten spots in the most recent ATP (Association of Tennis Professionals) world rankings.

Lajal, who recently participated in his inaugural ATP-ranked tournament, has now reached ATP No. 219, an improvement of five positions from his previous career best.

Two other Estonian players have secured places in the updated ATP Top 1,000 rankings. Daniil Glinka has advanced by 37 positions to ATP No. 548, while Kristjan Tamm has experienced a drop of 24 places and currently holds ATP No. 729.

On the men’s side, Novak Djokovic from Serbia retains his number one position, with Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz in second place. Daniil Medvedev (Neutral) is ranked third, Jannik Sinner from Italy holds the fourth position, and Andrey Rublev (Neutral) is ranked fifth in the ATP world rankings.

In the WTA (Women’s Tennis Association) world rankings, Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi has fallen by one position and is now ranked 170th globally.

Elena Malygina has ascended seven spots to WTA No. 333, while Maileen Nuudi has descended seven positions, holding the WTA No. 532 ranking.

Arina Sabalenka (Neutral) maintains her top position in the WTA rankings, followed by Poland’s Iga Świątek and the USA’s Coco Gauff. Elena Rybakina from Kazakhstan has surged to WTA No. 4, displacing the USA’s Jessica Pegula to the fifth position.
